List of items

List of items provides a quick overview of all the items you have entered and allows you to filter the displayed items by different criteria and show the details of each individual item.

HINT

For more information on these features, see the chapter List of items.

This chapter shows how to filter, search and view items in the list of items and how to view the details of the item PAGODA4.

CASE SUMMARY

The person responsible wants to search for their own product PAGODA4 in the list of items and see its details. To quickly search for the item, the person responsible uses filters in the header of the list. Then, the person responsible wants to display all own products and sort them in descending order by sale price. Finally, the person responsible uses the same sorting to display the own products of the classification TENT_PARTY. This is done as follows:

  1. Opening the list of items
  2. Filtering in the list header
  3. Viewing item data
  4. Viewing and sorting item data

1. Opening the list of items

The person responsible opens the List of items by clicking Registers in the main menu and selecting the submodule, i.e. the tab Items. By default, all active items are displayed and sorted by Code in ascending alphabetical order.

2. Filtering in the list header

The person responsible wants to search for the company's own product PAGODA4 in the list of items. In the field Registers in the header of the list, the person responsible selects Items from the drop-down list.

HINT

You can move between the fields in the header of the list using the key Tab.

In the field Status, the person responsible selects Active only and P - Own product from the list of the field Item type.

The person responsible enters the search string 'PAGODA' in the field Search.

All own products containing the search string in the code or name are displayed.

WARNING

You can search by code, name or supplier code.

3. Viewing item data

To view the data for the item PAGODA4, the person responsible clicks the item name or code, which are highlighted in blue.

This opens the window General item data. In this window, you can view and edit the general data about the item.

By clicking the icon X (Cancel) in the command line, the person responsible returns to the list of items.

4. Viewing and sorting item data

By clicking the three dots icon (Show/hide columns) at the top of the list, the person responsible can select between the columns containing the data of the items shown in the list. All the marked columns are displayed.

Data can be sorted in ascending and descending order or a filter condition can be specified for the following columns:

  • Code/Item
  • Name
  • Retail price
  • Sale price
  • Primary classification
  • Secondary classification
  • Item type
  • Supplier code

The person responsible wants to sort the company's own products in descending order by sale price.

From the list of the field Item type, the person responsible selects P – Own product.

In the field Sale price, the person responsible clicks the arrow down icon and selects the Z–A icon icon from the list. The items are sorted by sale price from highest to lowest.

Next, the person responsible wants to display only the company's own products with the classification TENT_PARTY.

The person responsible clicks the field Primary classification and selects Starts with from the drop-down list of the field that appears in the section Filter by condition. In the empty field, the person responsible enters TENT_PARTY and clicks the button Submit.

Only items with the searched primary classification are displayed and sorted descending by sale price.

WARNING

The funnel icon indicates whether a filter is active for an individual field.
