Activating the eMessages Service

Activating the eMessages service is part of the process leading up to the use, which is easiest explained by the picture below:

The eMessages service enables you to send SMS and Viber messages directly from your PANTHEON.

The company activates or orders the eMessages service on UserSite, which can be accessed directly from PANTHEON.

After the activation on the UserSite, the user receives an e-mail with the corresponding offer. The next working day after payment, the user receives an activation e-mail from Datalab.

CASE SUMMARY

The Tecta company wants to use the eMessages service. For this purpose, the person responsible selects the service and activates or orders it on the UserSite. The person responsible does this in the following way:

  1. Selecting the eMessages service
  2. Ordering the eMessages service on the UserSite
  3. Activating the eMessages service

1. Selecting the eMessages service

The person responsible checks the options and prices of services on the Datalab website. The company can choose between two packages:

  • the Mini – the price of the package is 10 € + VAT (12,20 € with VAT). The cost of an SMS message is 0,090 € (0,1098 € with VAT) and 0,040 € (0,0488 € with VAT) for a Viber message.
  • the Maxi – the price of the package is 50 € + VAT (62 € with VAT). The cost of an SMS message is 0,075 € (0,0915 € with VAT) and 0,035 € (0,0427 € with VAT) for a Viber message.

Both packages are prepaid and valid for three months. The cost of each sent message is deducted from the value of your activated package.

If you purchase a new package before the current one expires, any remaining credit will be added to the new package. Otherwise, any unused credit will expire.

IMPORTANT

Because the package expires after 3 months, the customers are automatically notified of this10 days before the expiration via e-mail, so that they have enough time to order a new package (and payment/activation).

The user can select the Mini or the Maxi package, but not both.

Activating eDocumentation is required to use the eMessages package service.

HINT

In this case, the person responsible selects the Maxi package.

2. Ordering the eMessages service on the UserSite

To order the eMessages service, you must be logged into the UserSite.

HINT

The user logged into PANTHEON is automatically logged into the UserSite by clicking Help | Help Contents.

The person responsible selects Login in the toolbar.

The person responsible enters their user information into the User Name and Password fields, and clicks Login.

The person responsible continues with the ordering process. For this purpose, the person responsible selects My data | EServices from the menu.

The person responsible selects the eMessages service from the eBusiness services and clicks the MORE INFORMATION AND ORDERING button.

The site for ordering the eMessages service opens up. In the window, the system automatically fills in the general data (as shown in the image below or defined by the descriptions in the table below):

Company

The name of the company that is ordering the service.

Name and surname of the contact person

Name and surname of the person responsible in the company that is ordering the service.

Tax number

Tax number of the company that is ordering the service.

E-mail

E-mail address of the person responsible in the company that is ordering the service.

Phone number

Phone number of the person responsible in the company that is ordering the service.

The person responsible continues with selecting the eMessages package. In this case, the person responsible selects:

  • the eMessages Maxi package
  • In the Quantity field, the person responsible selects 1 (1 package)

HINT
  • According to your selection in the Quantity field, the corresponding total amount is calculated.
  • The length of the SMS message and use of sibilants within the message defines how many SMS messages will be deducted from the purchased amount of the package.
  • There are several providers for calculating the SMS message length on the internet, with which you can check your potential message consumption.

In the bottom of the window, a confirmation of the special conditions is required to continue.

The person responsible sends the activation request by clicking the Submit an order button.

WARNING

After clicking the Submit an order button, you will receive the offer for the selected service via e-mail. In case you want to change your selection, click the Cancel button.

3. Activating the eMessages service

After successfully ordering the eSMS service, the person responsible receives an e-mail with the offer for the selected service from Datalab.

The e-mail contains an attachment, a preliminary invoice for the selected service.

The image below shows an example of a preliminary invoice.

The service is activated within one working day after the received payment.

The customer is notified of the activation of the service via e-mail.

HINT

After ordering the eMessages service, the ordered service (if the order has been recorded) can be checked on the Subscriptions tab in PANTHEON.

The process of activating the eMessages service is thus completed. Next, the General settings in PANTHEON, which will enable the company to use the eMessages service, must be defined.
