Importing Document Files

From eDocumentation, you can export document files electronically by exporting them into a local folder, to a computer, or a company server. Files can also be exported in paper by printing them.

This chapter presents the options of the export described above.

CASE SUMMARY

The person responsible in the service department wants to export files of document 23-DMS0-000005 from eDocumentation. Attached to the document are Claim forms. The person responsible wants to print the forms, as well as transfer them to their computer electronically. For exporting files in the desired form, the person responsible can use the following options:

  1. Printing files
  2. Exporting files to a local folder

1. Printing files

To print the forms attached to the document in eDocumentation, the person responsible opens the Documents form.

  • The person responsible finds the desired document.
  • The person responsible clicks the Files tab and by clicking, selects the line of the file that is going to be printed.
  • The person responsible opens the document preview and views it before printing.
  • In the toolbar, the person responsible clicks the (Print file) button.

  • A Print form opens, where the person responsible determines the desired printer and number of copies.
  • The person responsible clicks the OK button and sends the file to printing.

2. Exporting files to a local folder

The person responsible wants to export document files electronically and save them in a local folder, on their own computer.

  • This is done by double-clicking one of the files on the Files tab.

  • The location, or folder, opens, where the program automatically saved the attached files on the computer.

HINT

Files can be moved to any desired place on your computer.

Warning

To use the eDocumentation service, it must first be activated and its settings must be set.
