Add New Loyalty Card

A loyalty card, also known as a rewards card or a loyalty program card, is a card or membership that is typically issued by a business or retailer to reward and incentivize repeat customers.

Below is an example of how to add a new loyalty card in POSX.

Case summary

Roger Retail wants to offer his frequent customer a loyalty card. First, he needs to create a loyalty card in PANTHEON and activate it. This is done as follows:

  1. Creating a Loyalty Card
  2. Activating the Loyalty Card
  3. Entering the Necessary Data

1. Creating a Loyalty Card

In the menu, the person responsible opens Settings | Program | Loyalty Cards | Loyalty cards and selects Loyalty cards.

The Loyalty Cards form opens, as shown in the image below.

WARNING

The checkbox Own card is marked by default .
If it is turned off, you do not have the option to create a card.

To create a new loyalty card, the person responsible clicks the Create Cards button. After clicking this button, a form for creating a card opens.

A new pop-up window appears, in which the person responsible enters the desired number of cards.
In this case, the person responsible enters the number 1 in the No. Off Cards field and clicks the Copy button.

Now, the new card is visible with the Card number format.

In the Card number format field, the person responsible can select it from the drop-down list as desired.

In this case, the person responsible selects the first one.

The card number format contains:
P – prefix, L year and S card number.

An optional Note for internal purposes can also be entered.

2. Activating the Loyalty Card

To activate the card, the person responsible checks the checkbox next to the selected card.

The card is now active.

Hint

Loyalty cards can be beneficial for both customers and businesses. Customers receive rewards and discounts, while businesses gain customer loyalty and valuable data to improve their marketing strategies.

3. Entering the Necessary Data

After the card is activated, the person responsible needs to assign data to the card.
For this purpose, the person responsible clicks the Card Overview tab and finds the last created card from the drop-down list. From the drop-down list of the subject code list, the person responsible selects a Customer.

Into the Search criteria, the person responsible can enter the customer's name to make sure the card was created successfully.

HINT

On the Loyalty panel in Document Types Settings on POSX documents, the loyalty program must be set.
