Link documents

The Wizards in Received invoice also enable a quick option to link documents.
Clicking on Link document opens the following pop-up window:

The pop-up window can be divided into 3 sections:
- Header with basic data
- Selected document with lines on the left
- Linked document on the right
and the Link confirmation button in the bottom right corner.
1. Header
In the header, you can set the link type and the date for finding the link documents.
Link type

From the drop-down menu select the type, how the documents are linked. In SI database, the only option at the moment is linking by item lines.

Date from
|
Starting date from which documents for linking are displayed.
|
Date to
|
Ending date from which documents for linking are displayed.
|
Same items only
|
Enable this toggle button if you want only items that are the same on both documents to be displayed on the right side.
|
Customer
|
Subject from the selected document (1st person).
|
Recipient
|
Subject from the selected document (2nd person).
|
2. Selected document
The left side of the pop-up window shows the lines of the primary document.
Selected document
|
Document that you want to link. It is usually the number of the document from which you start the link.
|
Line
|
Item line consecutive number.
|
Item
|
Item name from document line. Only those items are available that are also on the selected document.
|
Title
|
Item name/title.
|
Quantity
|
Entered quantity in line of the selected document.
|
3. Linked document
The columns are the same as on the left, only the Document column with checkboxes is added.
Linked document
|
From the drop-down menu, select the document that you want to link.

Document
|
Select the items that you want to link with the selected document. You can only link subjects with the same 1st and 3rd person as on the document from which you started the wizard.

When selecting the linked document from the drop-down menu, only those documents will show up that correspond to the selected criterion: Date from/to.

When you select the document that you want to link, the window only shows the items on that document.

The Document field shows a checkbox where you can select which items you want to link.

After selecting all items needed, click on the Link button and the program will perform linking and show a pop-up note: Operation completed.
Clicking on the Confirm button finishes the linking process. Linked documents can be viewed in General in the Connected tab.
