Below, we have prepared a user case for setting a new status for multiple animals at once.
 |
case description
The owner of the animals, Eva Angus, called the veterinary clinic and told the receptionist that two of her calves had died (Animal IDs: SI3525415361 and SI3546162327). The receptionist will enter the data into the code list, changing the status of the calves. She does this by following these steps:
- Code list of owners and animals
- Set animal status
|
1. Code list of owners and animals
The responsible person wants to change the status of the animals.
To this end, she selects the menu Veterinary | Code lists | Code list of owners and animals.
It opens at the first entry in the code list.
She opens the form Search for owners and animals with the key combination CTRL + F or by clicking the button
(Search).
In the field Search string she types: eva.

In the lower part of the window in the section Overview records of all animals of the subject are displayed. When she positions herself on one entry, she clicks the button Select.
The Code list of owners and animals opens on the record of the selected owner.
She continues to select the wizard.
2. Set animal status
In the toolbar, she clicks the button
(Wizards).
A variety of functionality selection options are displayed.

In our case, she selects: Set animal status.
A window opens Animal status.

In the lower part of the window, a list of all animals owned by Eva Angus is displayed.
In the column Animal ID she finds the IDs of the calves that died: SI3525415361 and SI3546162327. On each entry position, she checks the checkbox to select them.
She also specifies New status. In our case, she selects: 2-Dead.

The newly set statuses are saved by clicking the button Save.
