Plan Specification

50791.gif

Selecting Plan Spec tab in the Plan window displays lines in plan specification.

Plan specification is a specification structure that can be created, according to requirements, in the MF manufacturing system. Plan specification shows in lines of plan components, materials of which the item is made up as well as technological procedures used in processing.

Only specific functions used in creating plan specifications are described in this topic. By clicking appropriate links visit topics dealing with functions equivalent to those in creating product specifications.

Lines of material in plan specification contain data on materials required for creating items (products) as specified in plan.

Lines of operations of plan specification contain data on operations in the technological procedure.

Plan specification allows you to release work orders from plan.

Moreover, plan specification is product specification copied to lines of plan. Until plan specification is created it doesn't exist (blank) and product specification is used instead. Having created a plan specification the link to product specification is cancelled. From now on the plan spec is used.

Besides data from product specification you can find also lines scheduling requirements of lines of material as well as scheduling execution of operations. (

Edit lines in plan specification in the same way as in product specification. That is, you can add new lines of material and operation, changing or deleting them later. Thus you adapt the basic product specification to concrete circumstances particular to the plan.

Specifying Main Section in Plan Spec Panel

Main section holds the item ID as well as the selected line number. The following information can be observed:

item + (line of plan) + quantity + U/M

Item Displays item ID.

( ) Line Displays line number in plan.
Quantity Displays item quantity in manufacturing specification.
U/M Displays unit of measurement (U/M) used.

Lines in Specification

Alt. Displays alternate lines of the parent manufacturing specification.
Line Displays number of line of specification in the parent manufacturing specification.
Item Displays item quantity in manufacturing specification.
Description Displays a name of item in manufacturing specification.
Note Enter note to the manufacturing specification.
Batch Displays number of production batch.
U/M Displays unit of measurement used with the item.
Start Enter or select date and time when the operation started. It can be found in scheduled data when releasing work orders or changing data when editing operation in manufacturing specification.
End Enter or select date and time when the operation ended. It can be found in scheduled data when releasing work orders or changing data when editing operation in manufacturing specification.
Volume Enter or select number of units in specification expressed in unit of measurement set. Here the amount of volume is set ranging from 1 to 1,000,000 units.
50794.gif Whenever lines in plan specification contain data linked to register you can access it by double-clicking. double-clicking any other field opens Edit Plan Spec Lines.
50795.gif Whether Start and End columns will be displayed or not depends on Scheduling checkbox setting in the Administration Panel | Manufacturing | General
.
50796.gif On the other hand Scrap, Waste, Gross and Net quantities depends on corresponding Scrap Qty and Waste parameters set in the Administration Panel | Manufacturing | General.
