QR code

QR codes allow for quick reading and searching of data. The program PANTHEON VET enables the creation of QR codes and printing of labels with the required information. The QR code can be used to label cages, indicating where each animal is located (veterinary hospitals, shelters).

In this chapter, we will present an example of printing a label with information about the animal and the owner. The functionality is located in the menu Veterinary | Code lists | Code list of owners and animals.

TIP

For more detailed information about the program forms, read in the PANTHEON VET Guide, in the chapter Print label.

CASE DESCRIPTION

In the veterinary clinic, the sterilization of the kitten Simba, owned by Lili Siam, was performed. The animal was placed in a cage to rest after the procedure. The veterinarian will create a QR code to label the cage, print it on a label, and stick it on the cage. The procedure will be carried out with the following steps:

  1. Searching for animal data
  2. Printing a label with a QR code

1. Searching for animal data

The responsible person searches for the animal's data. The detailed search procedure is described in the chapter Search.

TIP

When the animal is not yet registered in the PANTHEON VET program, it must first be registered. The detailed procedure for entering the animal is described in the chapter Entering animal

2. Printing a label with a QR code

For the selected animal, the responsible person will print a label to stick on the cage.

  • The responsible person clicks the button Print label
  • Selects the option QR code

  • A new window opens where they can set Label settings.
  • In our case, they continue by clicking the button OK.

  • A new window opens, preview: 6Y6 - Print animal labels.
  • The generated QR code is visible in the label printing preview.
  • Clicks the button Print.
