A quantity in an additional unit of measurement must be entered in column 17
of the Intrastat form if so specified.
An additional unit of measurement is prescribed in the combined nomenclature for certain product codes
For customs tariffs of this kind, enter the prescribed unit of measurement (for
example, m., l., piece, etc.) in the Customs Tariffs
register. When you use this customs tariff in the Items register, the program
automatically enters the information about the customs unit of measurement in
the Items register. Here you also enter a converter for converting a quantity
from a primary unit of measurement to a customs unit of measurement. When you
transfer information to an Intrastat report, the program uses this converter to
calculate the quantity in the additional unit of measurement and enters this
information in column 17 of the Intrastat report.
Example:
You are importing an item with customs tariff 84851010 in kilograms.
Although you're importing the item by kilograms, it is tracked in stock by
pieces (1 piece of the item weighs 0.8 kg.).
Because kilograms are used as a unit of measurement for this customs tariff,
the quantity must be entered in the Intrastat report using kilograms as the unit
of measurement.
1. Customs Tariff
First, enter the customs tariff with all necessary information. In the Unit
of Measurement field, enter the code of the required unit of measurement - KG,
kilograms.

2. Items Register
Enter the customs tariff in the sub-panel for entering customs information in
the Items register. Because the unit of measurement has already been
selected in this customs tariff, it is automatically copied to the field for
entering the unit of measurement for customs.
A converter must also be entered. In our case, 0.8 (1 piece = 0.8 kilograms,
so piece x 2 = 1.6 kilograms)

3. Document - Receiving
In the receiving document, you receive the item in a unit of measurement
represented by the sales unit. Let's say you're receiving 100 pieces of the item.

4. Intrastat Report - Receiving
When you transfer the document to the Intrastat report about the receipt, the
program calculates the quantity from the document for lines that belong in this
customs tariff and for which a unit of measurement (in this case, pieces) has
been entered. It does this by multiplying the quantity of the main unit of
measurement with the converter for the customs unit of measurement (in this case,
0.8).
