Receiving of Goods on Trial, Claims, Service Orders and Consignment

Reversals, claims, service interventions and commissions

Many companies find themselves in a situation where they have to temporarily issue goods and then take them back (or vice versa). This event is called Issuing of goods on trial or Receiving foreign goods on trial.

Below is an example of a flowchart for tracking goods on trial through relevant document types for goods on trial in PANTHEON:

Explanation of the flowchart:

  • The flowchart shows the monitoring of goods on trial to the customer.
  • The material document type 3D00 relieves the warehouse materially and accounting-wise.
  • An event with document type 1D00 burdens it again after the customer returns the goods to us.

The two business events are symmetrical, so if we are disciplined in tracking such movements, we have a precise overview of how much, when and to whom we have issued/received the goods, how much goods are out of stock, and other data that is very important for the success of the company.

HINT

Once you have drawn the flowchart, you can start entering the material document types into PANTHEON.
