Split Line
This function is used to split a journal entry line (in local currency) into two or more:
The panel header shows information about the journal entry line to be split. This data cannot be modified.
In the bottom section of the panel you see some data from the journal entry lines :

the difference between the original amount and the one being split

All data and amounts in the journal entry line, which are displayed in this panel may be modified (document, document date, linked document, value date, VAT date and department) .
You can distribute simply by entering an amount and move by pressing the down cursor key. Difference of the original amount automatically appears in the new split item.
Click the Split button after all desired splits were created. The view jumps back to the original journal entry line. The splits are added as new items on the journal entry (with new line numbers and original line numbers).
Foreign currency posts cannot be split because of rounding differences in the recalculation to local currency!

In case of many positions for the distribution, data file can be prepared and import to Pantheon. Another case to import file would also be file with customers payments, when amount is paid in total and closes many invoices. The first column should be amount and the second link document.
The structure of xls file should looks like picture below. Payment of the total of 1.000,00 EUR closes:
