Setting on Department - Payroll

PANTHEON enables numerous ways of calculating payrolls. One of them is defining the parameters by Department.

Basic data needed for payroll calculation are set in the Administration Panel | Settings | Personnel | Payroll.

Warning

The appearance of panel Department depends on the parameter Salary Settings by Department, set in Administration Panel | Settings | Personnel | Payroll. If it is enabled, the Department section is visible.

This chapter of the User Manual presents how to define data for payroll to be calculated by Department.

Case summary

The person responsible wants to define specific Salary Compensations for the Manufacturing department, because company has a different formula for calculating the minimum salary for this department. This is done as follows:

  1. Opening the Salary Compensations tab
  2. Defining the department
  3. Defining the formula for calculating the minimum salary for the Manufacturing department

1. Opening the Salary Compensations tab

The person responsible selects the Settings module from the menu and opens Program | Administration Panel | Settings | Personnel | Payroll. The General panel appears on the screen.

Next step is selecting the Salary Compensations tab, presented in the image below:

2. Defining the department

To define the department, the person responsible does as follows:

  • Department: Selects Manufacturing

  • Filter: After selecting the department, the person responsible clicks the Filter button to refresh the data on the screen. The bottom part of the panel now only displays the Manufacturing department.

3. Defining the formula for calculating the minimum salary for the Manufacturing department

To define the formula for calculating the minimum salary for the Manufacturing department, the person responsible does the following:

  • Minimum Salary (Coll.Agr) and Minimum Salary (Ind.Agr) : Enters the new calculating formula:

            #Fa4#*1.46*#PRUre#/#Fa3#

Warning

If the formula for the department is determined, the program will use it in the calculation of payroll compensation regardless of other settings!

Hint

For instructions on how to create Payroll formulas, see the chapter Formula builder in the Tech Guide for PANTHEON
