Templates for Automatic Posting

In the Template for Automatic Posting register you can change and add formulas enabling you to perform calculations and post data:

• for individual often recurring postings and reports which are not included in the standard automatic posts (see Posting by Template),
• for postings required by year-end,
• for periodic VAT report,
• when removing records of cost by distribution keys

The template for automatic posting can be accessed from the menu Settings | Financials | Templates for Automatic Posting.

The Posting Templates window opens:

1. Toolbar: Here you can create reports, import and export templates. For additional information read the chapter Toolbar in Posting Template. Creating reports using a template from which you can launch a print-out and post.
2. Header: in the header, define key information about the template.
3. Lines: enter the formulas for calculating on the lines of the posting templates.

WARNING All the predefined templates used in automatic posting are based on predefined accounts and settings for automatic posting, and thus are SAMPLE POSTING TEMPLATES. Before using them, it is MANDATORY THAT YOU CHECK if the settings comply to your business and accounting practices!
