Using the find item function makes search for items recorded in the Items register easier.

You can use the function in individual document (orders, invoices, packing slip).
- Here you just click the lookup button.
- Or, use a shortcut press the
 key combination.

Enter any value to the criteria field.
You need not use wildcard character "%" (for more information see topic Wildcard Characters) for general search.

SEARCH CRITERIA
Enter any of the following criteria:
Active |
Set item status:
- All - Selects and includes all items.
- Active - Selects and includes only active items.
- Inctive - Selects and includes only inactive and disabled items.

Auto-Refresh |
Check the Auto-Refresh checkbox for on-the-fly updating of the list after having changed criteria. If you leave it unchecked, the entered criteria will only be applied after you move to the next field. |
Find Items in Specs |
Check it to include only items with specification. |

Having launched the function with set criteria move to any line in the Items register and click the Select and Close button. The item appears in line of document and the lookup window closes. Otherwise, select an item by double-clicking a line or by using the following  key combination. |

Having launched the function with set criteria in a document move to any line and click the Select and Add Line button. The item appears in line of document and the lookup window remains open. |

Enter any number of characters of item ID. |
Name |
Enter item name. It is not restricted by number of characters. |
Item Type |
Enter an item type. You can also select it after clicking on the right. |
Prim. Categ. |
Enter an ID of primary category. You can also select it after clicking on the right. |
Sec. Categ. |
Enter an ID of secondary category. You can also select it after clicking on the right. |
ID |
Enter an ID of primary supplier. |
Subject (ID) |
Enter or select an ID from the Subjects register. |

Enter or select a subject from the Subjects register. |
RESTRICTIVE CRITERIA
Here you can enter additional restrictive criteria. You can set them optionally.

Thus you can look up all items with set revenue account 7700:

LIST OF ITEMS MATCHING the SELECTED CRITERIA
An overview (list) of items matching the criteria can be modified in search parameters by using authorizations in order to meet ndividual users or user group requirements. The following can be observed in the overview:
ID |
Displays an item ID from the Items register. |
Active |
It marks item status. If checked, then the item is active. |
Desrcription |
Displays description from the Items register. |
External ID |
Displays an external ID from the Items register. |
U/M |
Displays a primary U/M (unit of measurement from the Items register. |
Category |
Displays an ID of item category. |
Type |
Displays an item type from the Items register. |
Wholesale Price |
Displays the item's wholesale price. |

Click this button to create a report. It displays name and ID of item.

Available Stock
The section shows available stock. All warehouses that have the item on stock are displayed here.
Warehouse |
Displays a warehouse with available stock. |
Stock |
Displays available quantity (that is, available stock at the warehouse). |
Allocated |
Displays hard allocations of the item as well as the warehouse (for more information see Hard Allocations). |
Remaining |
The quantity of stock which can be shipped, sold, allocated after having considered all hard allocations (=current available stock + allocated stock quantity). |
