Filters on the list Animal Overview

To make it easier to search for animals, you can filter the list Animal Overview by the owner. When searching or filtering the list of animals by the owner, various filters can be used, which we will describe through the use case.

In this chapter, we will present an example of using filters on the list Animal Overview. The functionality is located in the menu  Veterinary | Codebooks |​ Codebook of owners and animals.

USE CASE DESCRIPTION The responsible person wants to filter the list of animals for the owner Jan Sivec by the filter type of animal: equines. The display of the list can also be limited by specifying other filters, which will be shown below. The list for the selected owner is filtered by the following steps: Opening the Codebook of owners and animals Searching for the owner of the animal Using the filter on the list Animal Overview of the owner

1. Opening the Codebook of owners and animals

The responsible person keeps a record of owners and animals in the Codebook of owners and animals.

TIP Instructions for adding a new owner can be read in the chapter Adding a new owner.

For this purpose, select the menu Veterinary | Codebooks | Codebook of owners and animals.

A window opens Entering owner/animal as shown in the image below.

Continues with searching for the owner of the animal.

2. Searching for the owner of the animal

The responsible person in the toolbar with navigation buttons searches for the owner: Jan Sivec. 

TIP Toggle  (Only active) allows only active animals of the owner to be displayed in the list. Those that have been sold, given away, etc., will not be displayed in the list.

The responsible person continues to specify the desired filter for displaying the list of animals.

3. Using the filter on the list Animal Overview of the owner

The list of animals of the owner Jan Sivec wants to limit only to equines.

This is achieved with the filter Type of animal, which is located in the filter row (shown in the image below).

In the field, you can start typing the desired type by which you want to filter the list or click on the arrow . 

This displays a dropdown list of existing types of animals that the selected owner owns.

From the dropdown list, in our case, select the option: Equines.

In the same way, the list can also be filtered by other possible filters:

• Number or ID number assigned to the animal
• Name or name of the animal
• Animal category
• Breed and
• GMID or identification number of the farm.

TIP The button  (Clear filter) allows all set filters in the list of the owner's animals to be deleted.

In the lower part of the form, the list of the owner's animals now shows only animals of the equine type.
