Repetition of insemination

Functionality Repetition of insemination is intended for creating and managing data on the re-insemination of animals. 

It is located in the menu Veterinary | Case tab Insemination.

Below is an example of creating a case for the repetition of insemination of cattle.

CASE DESCRIPTION The responsible person in the clinic wants to create a new case for the repetition of insemination of a cow. Valentin the Veterinarian has performed the re-insemination of the cow owned by Eva Angus. The document for the case of repetition of insemination is created by following these steps: Entering data into the case document Entering data into the Repetition of insemination tab

1. Entering data into the case document

The responsible person creates a new case document for the selected Document type.

The process of creating the case document is described in the chapter Insemination case of cattle, in the first three steps.

Continues to the data entry tab for re-insemination.

2. Entering data into the tab Repetition of insemination

The responsible person switches to the tab Insemination.

WARNING The tab Insemination is only visible if we have selected Individual case in the section Type of case.

A tab with data about the selected cow opens.

In the lower part, the tab Repetition of inseminationopens.

By clicking the button New the fields Certificate No. of the veterinarian and Inseminator codeare automatically filled.

TIP The program in the background checks whether the selected veterinarian has assigned GO numbers for inseminations, whether the selected certificate number has already been used, and whether the selected veterinarian still has a free GO certificate number.

Enters the code of the first insemination in the field Cert. No. first insemination.

WARNING The data in the field Cert. No. first insemination is mandatory. If it is missing, an error message is displayed.

The data on Sequential insemination is calculated automatically.

TIP The first re-insemination is marked as the second (2). The reason is in the numbering of inseminations, as the first regular insemination is always marked with the number 1.

On the right side of the tab, there are fields for entering bull data. 

TIP When the owner buys or provides the bull's semen themselves, we do not have the bull's data entered in the registry. In this case, we manually enter the data into the case document by checking the confirmation box Manual entry and entering the data as shown in the chapter Manual entry.

In our case, the bull is selected from the dropdown list: VLADAR (BSW).

Upon selecting the bull, the data in the fields Bull ID, Bull ID and Semen seriesare automatically filled.

By clicking the button Save, the data on the repetition of insemination is saved to the case document.
