Insurance

Animal owners (primarily for cattle, horses) often have insurance policies that allow them to cover a portion of the incurred veterinary costs. Veterinary stations can easily prepare a statement for the insurance companies. Before that, it is necessary to set up the configuration that allows the export of data to a file, which is then sent to the insurance company.

In this chapter, we will present an example of a configuration that allows the export of a file with treatment data for the insurance company. The functionality is located in the menu Settings | Program | Administrative Console.

For this purpose, the responsible person at the veterinary clinic will set up a configuration that will allow the export of treatment data, where the insurance company will cover a portion of the service. The procedure is described below.

• The responsible person in Administrative Console clicks in the tree structure Settings and Veterinary. 

• Insurance export file settings are edited in the tab Insurance.

• In the field Insurance Company Triglav select the entity from the dropdown list that is created for Insurance Company Triglav in Entity Code List .

WARNING Each insurance company will have its own configuration. For now, it is only available for Insurance Company Triglav.
