Settings for Daily Plan

The Daily Plan form allows you to plan shifts, add operations to resources, add employees to operations, review reported and still open work, edit operations, and copy unfinished work to other daily plans.

Below, see a use case for setting up a daily plan.

Case summary

The person responsible wants to set up a daily plan. They check the necessary settings for daily plan. The person responsible does this by following these steps:

  1. Settings for Work Calendar
  2. Setting Working Hours
  3. Settings for Resources
  4. Daily plan Document Type

1. Settings for Work Calendar

Before planning, the work calendars must be set.

In the Settings | Manufacturing menu, the person responsible selects Work Calendars, which offers the following tabs: Calendar and Structure.

In the specification, in the middle part of the panel, 12 months of a specific year are specified. To move to the next/previous year, the person responsible can do so by using the direction arrows.

Within each month, the person responsible has the numbers of days and day names. Each day takes on the colour of the selected record type for that day, which determines the working hours and utilization.

The person responsible edits the calendar structure - record types on specific days using filters, in this case using the company Calendar, for the Manufacturing Department, Working Hours for one shift.

The calendar structure is shaped for real-time work resource capacity monitoring.

Calenders are typically hierarchically linked to each other.

2. Setting working hours

When finished with the Calendar, the person responsible access the Working Hours module via Settings l Personnel l Time Terminal l Working Hrs.

In the work calendar, the working hours must be set with defined shifts.

The person responsible in this codebook defines the working hours within the company. The working hours created here are then linked to employees.

WARNING

For the working hours to be calculated correctly, a usage of time of the shift must be defined in the Usage field.

In this case, the person responsible is setting the working hours for the first shift only.

3. Settings for Resources

The person responsible then opens the Resources register from the Settings | Manufacturing menu.

Resources must be linked with work calendars.

A window opens, where the person responsible creates resources.

The person responsible wants to create a 'SU001-Subcontractor 1001' resource, with specific capacities and other settings in the working calendar.

Once created, the resource will appear in the hierarchical structure on the left side of the window.

4. Daily plan Document Type

Finally, the person responsible accesses the Document Type Settings for the Daily Plan.

The settings are accessed from Settings | Program | Document Types | Plan.

The register of document types opens, where the person responsible expands the Plans panel and selects the Daily plan panel.

In this panel, the person responsible can set all the parameters for the Daily plan, specify the department to which the plan applies, and link it to the calendar. Additional settings for resources, employees, work orders, and operation types can also be configured.

In this case, the person responsible opens the Daily Plan with ID HDP0, with the necessary configurations:

  • Include Tsu in calculating planned time in Daily plan,
  • Show operation state,
  • Show Done and Bad Qty from Operation.
