DMS to files

The DMS to files block allows you to export files from Documentation to a local folder.

Double-clicking the DMS to files block opens the DMS to files form, where you can define the settings for:

Documents
Enter a variable to define the list of documents to be exported from Documentation to the local folder.
The parameter can contain one of the following values:
- Define one or more DocumentQId(s), separated by a comma.
- Enter a variable (written in square brackets, e.g. [SelectedDocs]) containing the corresponding values.
Folder
Defines the location, i.e. folder name, to which the files from Documentation are exported.
Envelope name
Define the new name of the envelope. The program works by searching Documentation for the document files that contain envelope in the name. If such a file is found, it renames it with the name specified in this parameter when exporting the file from Documentation.
HINT
The name of the envelope is determined in accordance with the rules of the e-path provider. Example: ZZI as provider requires that the envelope file of a document must be named: 'envelope.xml'.
Create ZIP
If checked, compresses the exported files from Documentation using the ZIP format.
The name of the exported file is created automatically and is always unique, i.e. different from the previous names (GUID, i.e. a unique document number).
Reset
Returns all field values to default or empty.
OK
Saves information and closes the window.
Cancel
Closes window without saving.
FileName
The names of the exported files, i.e. ZIP file names, are saved to the FileName variable.
HINT
The path in the Folder field can also be defined with variables (e.g. R:\[DocumentQID]\Test\).
