Drag and Drop in the Daily plan

The Drag and Drop functionality in the Daily Plan form allows you to simply add operations and workers to the daily plan.

Operations and employees can be added from the Operations and Employees  forms respectively, by using the drag and drop method. They can be added to the Daily plan in the Table View tab.

The start date and duration of the task can be changed in the Calendar tab, by using the drag and drop method.

Table of contents

  1. Drag and drop in the Table view tab
1.1. Adding operations to the daily plan
1.2. Adding workers to the daily plan
  2. Drag and drop in the Calendar tab
    2.1. Changing the duration
2.2. Changing the time and resource

1. Drag and drop in the Table view tab

1.1. Adding operations to the daily plan

In the Table view tab, you can add operations to the resource by opening the Operations form, which contains operations of a selected work order, and then selecting the desired operation and dragging it to the desired resource, using the Drag and Drop method.

WARNING

If you try to add an operation to the resource that is not defined for that operation, a warning is shown: Resource is not defined on operation. Do you want to edit Resources norms on operation?

By clicking Yes, you open the Enter Resource Norm form, where you can define additional resources and other data for the operation.

By clicking No, the resource for the operation will not be defined, but the operation will still be added to the resource.

By clicking Cancel, the operation will not be added to the resource.

1.2. Adding workers to the daily plan

Workers can be added to the operations in the daily plan. You can add one or more workers by selecting the desired worker from the Employees form and dragging it to the desired operation on the daily plan, using the Drag and Drop method.

2. The drag and drop method in the Calendar tab

In the Calendar tab, the start time and the duration of the operation (task) can be changed by moving the operation block or stretching/reducing it. You can also change the resource of the operation.

2.1. Changing the duration

The duration can be changed by clicking on the left (change start time) or right (change end time) side of the block in the Schedule view, or in the upper (change start time) or lower (change end time) side of the block in the Daily view, and dragging it to the desired length.

2.2. Changing the time and resource

You can change the start time of the operation or the resource, by simply selecting the operation and dragging it to the desired time or resource on the calendar.

Warning

If the resource is not defined for the operation, the same condition that is described in the section 1.1. Adding operations to the daily plan of this chapter applies.

Warning

You cannot change the time of the operation outside the time of the shift defined in the daily plan.
