000001.gif For more information on serial number tracking see topic Why Serial Numbers?
000001.gif Data on acquired serial numbers (from purchase and sales orders) are NOT included in this panel since they have not been received (they are not in stock)!

Keeping records of serial numbers determines the way item's are received or issued. Using serial numbers PANTHEON enables precise monitoring of movements of individual items.

.- On the other hand, it can consist parts showing for example year of production, manufacturing date, color, product's confection number etc. (see example of composite serial number ).
Set method used in assigning serial numbers in Serial Number Templates.
Available
If checked, item assigned this serial number is in stock. That is, should you issue the item (the stock thus being 0) the field will not be checked!
Stock
Displays amount of items with this serial number.

For the currently selected item and serial number you can display also the review of serial number history (see report). In this way you can view and print the entire development of individual serial number or in other words how the individual item was received, issued, returned on repair, or how a complaint was issued for it, etc.

Serial Number Tracking

In the above section enter or select the method used in serial number tracking. You can change it here or in the General panel.

Each item can be assigned three basic statuses (these do not require a link to the Serial Numbers Templates) and three special statuses for which you have to determine the method in which serial numbers are generated in the Product Variants register or Serial Number Templates register.

In the General panel select the method of serial number tracking.

Basic Three Statuses

N - No Tracking Here serial numbers tracking is not done for products of this type. They are rather received and issued by quantity (e.g. number of screws or number of hours needed for product repair).
S - One S/N Is One Piece For products of this type it holds goods that each piece has its own unique serial number (e.g. chassis number or motor engine number with cars).
K - One S/N Are Multiple Pieces (Batch) For products of this type it holds good that they come in lots meaning that multiple products share the same serial number (e.g. lots or batches/series with medicine or foodstuffs, where one batch can include for example 100 pieces).

Special Three Methods Used in Generating Serial Numbers or for Their Use

Three special methods of generating serial numbers or their use that can be found in relationship with the Serial Number Templates register.

P - Product Variations (batch) In case of using serial numbers for batches you can keep track of stock also by product variants . In this case of Product Variants register you can select the column by using which you can define item stock. After selecting the type of serial numbers tracking P, you have to select the corresponding ID from the Product Variants register.
E - Compound Serial (one piece) Just as for products with the S - One s/n Is One Piece serial number status it holds good also for products of this type that each piece comes with its own unique serial number. But with this serial number type you can select by using the Serial Number Templates, how will the serial number be generated. You can also set default values. After selecting the type of serial numbers tracking P, you have to select the corresponding ID from the Serial Number Templates register.
O - Compound Serial (batch)
Just as for products with the K - One S/N is Multiple Pieces (batch) serial number status it holds good also for products of this type that multiple products are assigned the same serial number. But with this serial number type you can select by using the Serial Number Templateshow will the serial number be generated. When selecting the type of serial number tracking O, you have to select the corresponding ID from Serial Number Templates register.

000001.gif Using the Customs Warehouse module, serial number, which is equivalent to the number of the receiving document and the document line number, is assigned for each receiving or issuing, , to each receiving or issuing! It is mandatory to use serial numbers when using the Re-Export module!
