The summary amounts that could be observed in the previous examples represent:

Initial Balance:
Debit and credit transactions to the account including ALL posts to the selected start date.
Transactions to:
Debit and credit transactions from opening entry of the geeneral ledger (from program parameters) to the post recorded in lines of account card.
Transactions in period:
The total of all debit and credit transactions in the selected period (that is, the sum of all lines displayed in the account card).
Total:
The sum total of debit and credit transactions of the first three lines (Initial Balance, Transaction to and Transaction in period).
Balance:
Debit or credit balance of account card.
000001.gif ALL EXAMPLES WERE TAKEN FROM THE REVIEW OF ACCOUNT CARD ACCORDING TO THE PERIOD DATE OF JOURNAL ENTRY!

Since in our case document dates (from line of journal entry) differ from period date, the overview of account card by document date is different!

000001.gif Regardless of the restrictive criteria, date of initial balance is ALWAYS the period date of journal entry!
