Setting up form templates

Form templates can be useful to use on windows for various overviews and calculations.
For this purpose, we click the
(Templates) button in the toolbar, which will open a menu with the following options:

Table of contents
- Form settings
- Form authorisations
- Form templates
- List of user templates
|
1. Form settings
The following features are available:
Show object names |
The object names are displayed in the toolbar (status bar). |
Reset window layout |
Resets all window layouts. |
Reset table layout |
Resets table layouts. |
Copy settings to users |
Copies column settings and their width to users |
Auto-load |
When the option is selected, the last used settings will be restored or reloaded at reopening the window.
- For now, the fields that are written into the database tables are not restored or reloaded when the database is reopened. Simply put, this means that this function has no effect in the windows for invoice, order, and register entries yet, because such entries are written into the database.
- However, the function can already be used in the windows for various reports and calculations, and we can thus create our own templates when we are making calculations and reports.
- When selecting the Auto-load option, the user setting takes precedence over the default program values. Therefore, if the user chooses to have his/her user template automatically loaded, they will be able to use it as such until the option is deactivated, and then the default program setting will be in effect once again. Criteria that is reserved for the program in order to ensure the proper functioning of the program is not automatically loaded. Such criteria/data can be retrieved only by selecting the name of a saved template, which includes such data, from the template menu. A use case of this is provided for the account card templates.
|
Auto-save |
When this option is selected, the value changes for each field are saved, so that the last used calculation or report criteria is always available.
- Upon closing the window, the auto-save saves the values of all field types that are not written into the database tables, which we have also predicted.
- The following types are currently being processed: TCheckListBox, TComboBox, TRadioGroup, TNumberEdit, TwwDBLookupCombo, TwwDBDateTimePicker, TCheckBox,TListBox, TEdit,TwwDBEdit.
