Tecta Manufacturing

The Manufacturing module in PANTHEON is designed to monitor and control the entire production process. The Planning Manufacturing (MF), presented in a Tecta company example, enables material and schedule planning for manufacturing products with the goal of ensuring timely delivery to customers by optimal use of capacities.

We have prepared user instructions for the Manufacturing module in a Tecta company case. They are divided into the following chapters:

Tecta Production Scheme

In this section, we briefly describe the production in the Tecta company.

Basic Bill Of Materials (BOM)

Tecta's basic BOMs (Bills of Materials) define the structure of products and are used to calculate the manufacturing costs before the production starts. This module enables you to design and maintain multi-level BOM product structures, and using alternatives in BOMs.

This chapter contains a presentation of the Basic Bill of Materials features in the manufacturing process in PANTHEON. It presents how to create a BOM for a new product and equip the BOM with documentation, create an alternative, how to save data to history and pre-calculate the BOM to calculate costs before produciton.

Planning Manufacturing

Planning is one of the key processes in manufacturing, involving not only production but also purchasing and sales. The planning process is generally carried out in hierarchical planning cycles, medium-term planning, operational planning and fine short-term production scheduling.

Scheduling is an important tool in production planning, as it allows you to calculate the material requirements to realize the plan. In addition to the material requirements, the scheduling process also ensures that the resources and workers are available to carry out the work operations and realize the plan in time.

This chapter contains a presentation of the planning feature within the manufacturing process in PANTHEON, creating monthly and term plans, creating purchase orders according to material needs and creating work orders.

Work Orders (WOs)

Tecta work orders are virtual documents that allow you to track the progress of manufacturing a product and the issue and collection of materials and products between designated warehouses. They are created on the basis of customer orders or a plan and, with the bill of materials, form all the necessary data for the timely production of a product. In the context of the manufacturing process, the work orders are a vehicle for internal issues of material and services; using an internal receiving slip, the work orders also return the products or semi-finished products to the destination warehouse in quantity and value.

This chapter presents a way of selecting an overview of work orders in PANTHEON. The chapter also includes a description of how to create work orders, how to use work orders for repairs, using the Split tools on work orders and Closing a manufacturing period, and running a Cost and Production Analyses.
