Selecting Summary Cost Estimation

Selecting Summary Cost Estimation

Selecting Summary Cost Estimation

010383.gif

Typical characteristic of the summary cost estimation is displaying data of specific item of a selected active alternate in creating specification. Specification of the selected items shows value of integrated material, plus quantity and value of work and the common pricing for items (production cost). The above-mentioned data are displayed in summary way across all specification.

Set item type to restrict cost estimation.

Select summary cost estimation in the Criteria window of the Cost Estimation window.

First select it in the Cost Estimation Type box. The main window for summary cost estimation offers two panels. In order to select items and determine pricing and costing to be used you have to set criteria in the main section. Click Refresh Data to display additional tabs.

Criteria:

Selecting Criteria in Cost Estimation

Item Enter or select an item for which you want to perfom cost estimation according to the set criteria.
Item Name Enter or select an item name in order to restrict selection.
Quantity Enter quantity of product to perfom cost estimation.
Currency Enter or select code of currency using which to display amounts in cost estimation.
Priority Displays resource priority. Priorities can be set in Resource priority code list (double click in Priority field or go to Settings\Manufacturing\Resources\ Resource priority).
Item Type Enter or select an item type in order to restrict selection.
Prim. Cat. Enter or select a primary category in order to restrict selection.
Sec. Cat. Enter or select a secondary category in order to restrict selection.

Cost Estimation Type

Detailed Select a detailed type of cost estimation.
Summary Select a summary type of cost estimation.

Operation Elements:

Take Into Account Set-up Time If checked, it selects whether set-up time will be used in pricing or not. When checked set-up time (Tsu) is distributed across optimum product quantity as defined in specification.
Take Into Account Work Operations If checked, work operation will be used in cost estimation.
Take Into Account Fictional Operations If checked, work operation will be used in cost estimation.
Take Into Account Control Operations If checked, control operation will be used in cost estimation.
Take Into Account External Operations If checked, external operation will be used in cost estimation.
Take Into Account External Operations If checked, external operation will be used in cost estimation.
Non-time related data If checked, external operations are taken into accout in unit of measurement set. It is visible only in case that you set Subcontracting in PANTHEON and checked Take Into Account External Operator.

Prices in Cost Estimation

Doc. Type for WO Select it to be able to set prices in cost estimation after specifiying document type for manufacturing. Having selected it a field appears where you can enter or select a documnt type to be used in cost estimation. See follow-up.
(document type for WO) Enter or select ID of document type for manufacturing. Prices of materials (as well as semi-finished products and products) in the settings of document types represent the current actual cost of an item (WO Doc. Type Based on Item option).
Custom Select it in order to set prices in cost estimation.

Price of Material in Cost Estimation

Purchase Price It is determined by the total purchase price of material as set (calculated) in the Purchase panel of Costing in the Items register.
Retail Price It is determined by retail price of material as set (calculated) in the Purchase panel of Costing in the Items register.
Sale Price It is determined by retail price of material as set (calculated) tax excluded in the Purchase panel of Costing in the Items register.
Wholes. Price 1 It is determined by wholesale price (2nd price range) of material as set (calculated) in the Purchase panel of Costing in the Items register.
Wholes. Price 2 It is determined by wholesale price (3rd price range) of material as set (calculated) in the Purchase panel of Costing in the Items register.
Spec It is determined by a price of material as set in the Spec field in the Sale panel of Costing window in the Items register.
Fixed Price It is determined by fixed price as set for a specific item in the Fixed Prices window.
Valuation Price It is the current cost of valuated stock of the selected item.
Formula The price of cost estimation is calculated according to the selected formula. Formulas used in calculating prices can be created as described in the topic dealing with formulas. Below you can observe the parameters (operands) used in creating formulas:
 MPCENA ........... represents the retail price as set in the Sales panel of the Items register;
 VPCENA1 ......... represents wholesale price 1 as set in the Sales panel of the Items register;
 VPCENA2 ......... represents wholesale price 2 as set in the Sales panel of the Items register;
 SESTAVNICA .. represents the price in spec as set in the Sales panel of the Items register;
- STALNACENA... represents the fixed price as set in Fixed Prices
window;  NABACENA ....... represents purchase price as calculated in the Sales panel of the Items register;
 CENAZAVRED ... represents the current cost of item stock.
(enter or select a formula) Enter or select a formulat for calculating cost of material in cost estimation.

Price of Operations in Cost Estimation

Spec It is determined by pricing as set in the Spec field in the Sale panel of the Costing window in the Items register.
Formula Costing of operation is calculated according to the selected formula. Formulas used in calculating prices can be created as described in the topic dealing with formulas. Below you can observe the parameters (operands) used in creating formulas:
 RESURSTPZ1 … represents fixed cost of resource 1 … that is, the first field of set-up resource cost
; RESURSTPZ2 … represents fixed cost of resource 2 … that is, the second field of set-up resource cost;
 RESURSTPZ3 … represents fixed cost of resource 3 … that is, the third field of set-up resource cost
 RESURSTPZ4 … represents the fixed cost of resource 4 … that is, the fourth field of set-up resource cost;
 RESURSTPZ5 … represents fixed cost of resource 5 … that is, the fifth field of set-up resource cost;
 RESURSTN1 ….. represents variable resource cost 1 … that is, the first field of production resource cost;
 RESURSTN2 ….. represents variable resource cost 2 … that is, the second field of production resource cost;
 RESURSTN3 ….. represents variable resource cost 3 … taht is, the third field of production resource cost;
 RESURSTN4 ….. represents variable resource cost 4 … that is, the fourth field of resource cost;
 RESURSTN5 ….. represents variable resource cost 5 … that is, the fifth field of production resource cost.
(enter or select a formula) Enter or select a formula for calculating cost of operations in pricing.

Restricting selection by checking item type on the right.

  Select an item type to be displayed in pricing. Only the selected item type will be used in pricing.
(Item Type) Displayed item IDs you can set.
(type) Item type.
(name) Displays name of item type.
Refresh Data Click it to perform cost estimation according to the criteria set.
000001.gif Not selecting all item types "Partial Costing" and not "Costing" is displayed after refreshing.

As mentioned above, after selecting Doc. Type for WO option where costing is performed from settings of document type for manufacturing. Set type of costing by selecting a document type in the field that appears. Some of the settings are discarded. For a detailed treatment of other options see start of topic under "Custom".

After having eentered criteria in the panel, click Refresh Data to generate calculation. The bottom section displays an detailed overveiw of cost estimation.
