Document Types

The Document Type register is divided into sections that denote a document's type primary purpose. Document types are one of the key elements in PANTHEON. Their configuration affects work with PANTHEON to a great extent.

It can be accessed from menu Settings | Program | Document Types.

Warning The  and  editions allow changing document type's settings, but a new document types cannot be created.

WARNING Documents are numbered according to the calendar year they are created in, even if your business year differs from the calendar year.

On a document type's root there's a list of all document types that fall under category. With a double click on a document type, settings are opened.  Here is a list of the main categories:

WARNING Users that have no authorization for a specific class of document types, cannot see the branch in question! See also Authorizations for specific document types.

WARNING After a new document type has been created, its document ID cannot be changed anymore. If you try to do so, an error is returned (see Document type ID cannot be changed anymore.).

WARNING The document type ID may contain numbers and letters (without diacritics or accents). Special characters and punctuation marks are not allowed. If you enter an illegal character, an error will be displayed (see Illegal characters in ID!).
