Stock

The stock of medicines, materials or goods must be in the warehouse so that their consumption can be recorded on the treatment documents. If the stock of the selected item in the chosen warehouse is insufficient, the program returns a message notifying the user about it. The user can check the stock status of the item across warehouses.

In this chapter, we will present an example of viewing the stock status of the selected item. The functionality is available through the button  (Stock). The functionality is located on the treatment document in the tab Service performed, which can be accessed in the menu Veterinary | Treatment.

TIP

For more detailed information about the program forms, read in the PANTHEON VET Guide, in the chapter Display of stock data.

CASE DESCRIPTION

In the veterinary clinic, the owner Lia Bengal brought her cat for vaccination. At the same time, she wanted to buy 5 bags of cat food with beef flavor. The receptionist, upon adding the item to the treatment, found that there was not enough stock, so she checked the actual stock status. She did this by following these steps:

  1. Searching for open treatment
  2. Adding the item to the Service performed tab
  3. Reviewing stock status

1. Searching for open treatment

The responsible person searches for the treatment to which they want to add items for sale. The detailed procedure is described in the chapter Searching by the Animal History form or in the chapter Open cases.

In our case, the responsible person opens the treatment: 23-CLI3-000010 by double-clicking.

2. Adding the item to the Service performed tab

The responsible person wants to add items to the treatment document that the owner will purchase additionally.

  • The process of adding items to the tab Service performed is described in the chapter Calculate by items, in the second step.
  • In our case, the responsible person selected: Cat pellets - beef from the dropdown list in the Name field.

  • When entering: 5 in the Quantity field, the program returns the message Error: 'The stock of items cannot fall below zero! Desired quantity: 5, available quantity: 0!'

3. Reviewing stock status

The responsible person wants to check the stock status of the item in the selected warehouse.

  • Clicks on the button  (Stock).
  • A form opens Review of available stock, where they can see which warehouse has stock of the desired item.
  • In our case, in the warehouse: Warehouse Clinic stock for item: Brike ti_Cat_beef is not available. Still available in the warehouse: Retail Warehouse, where the stock is 150 pcs.

TIP

More detailed instructions about the form Review of available stock and the functionalities available are described in the chapter Stock.
