Copy Report to Other Database
Copy Report to Other Database
The option to copy custom report to other databases is in the Wizard as shown in the picture. This option is especially useful for users who have multiple databases (several companies) in which they want to copy the report.
In this way, it is not necessary to import new reports in each database, but this can be done at a simpler, quicker way.

In the window for copying reports to other databases, there are options for choosing which allow you to have different report transfer conditions.
By default, you can copy reports to the same Pantheon version in all databases. Depending on your specific requirements, you can change the choice of databases and other parameters.

Databases on server |
Select any databases in which we want to copy the selected report. You can also check all databases by right-clicking on the mouse where the selection menu opens. |
Report |
Select the report which you want to copy to other databases. |
Overwrite |
Copying with overwriting the existing report in the target database. By default, the option is disabled. Beware with this setting, you can inadvertently override the original report in the target database. |
Only databases in the same group of companies |
Copying reports only to databases belonging to the same group of companies, will not be exported to other databases. |
Copy to databases - lower version |
Parameter specifies that the report can be exported to databases that with lower versions than the database from which export is done. In lower versions, individual specific reports may not work if the report structure is such that it is supported only by a higher version of the program, database! |
Copy to databases - same version |
Parameter specifies that the report can be exported to databases that are the same versions as the database from which export is done - this is the default setting (the recommended way to export the report). |
Copy to databases - higher version |
Parameter specifies that the report can be exported to databases that are higher versions than the database from which export is done. |
Copy |
Export (transfer/copy) reports to other databases according to the parameters set. |
Close |
Close the window to transfer the report to other databases. |
|
 |
When exporting reports, there are also program controls to prevent the copying of default system reports. These are system reports that are updated every time when database is upgraded. |
 |
In case when report with the same ID already exists in the target database and overwrite option is not selected, then report in target database is saved with the next possible ID. |
 |
Operations that have access also on other databases on the same SQL server can be prevented with authorizations.
Such user is prevented to access any linked databases or current database through Pantheon.
Authorization is located: Datalab Applications - Datalab PANTHEON - Settings - Program - Administration Panel - Database - Access to Other Databases
