Entry of animal type

Program PANETHON VET allows each veterinary clinic to build its own animal classification system. The basic classification is based on Animal type (cats, dogs, pigs, horses, rabbits, ...). A prepared list of animal types can be imported or users can individually create and manage the types of animals they treat in their clinics.

The functionality is available by clicking in the menu Veterinary | Codes | Animal type code.

TIP

More about the animal type code and animal types can be read in the section of the PANTHEON VET Guide, Animal types.

Below we show you an example of entering an animal type.

example description

The veterinarian wants to create a new entry for the animal type cattle in the animal type code. This is done by following these steps:

  1. Opening the Animal Type Code
  2. Entering a new animal type code

1. Opening the Animal Type Code

The responsible person wants to create a new code for the animal type: Cattle.

For this purpose, they select the menu Veterinary | Codes | Animal type code.

The animal type code opens where we can build our system for classifying animals.

Continues with entering a new animal type code

2. Entering a new animal type code

The responsible person positions themselves at the end of the list, in the section Animal type.

By clicking the navigation key on the keyboard  (Down) or by clicking the key INSERT, a new position is created.

In the column Code, a new sequential animal type code is automatically created, which the responsible person cannot change or edit. In our case, the code created is: 18.

In the column Name the description of the animal is entered, in our case: Cattle.

WARNING

The name must be unique, it must NOT be repeated.

The switch in the column Activedefines whether the animal type code is active or not.

Upon confirming the new entry, by clicking the navigation keys on the keyboard  (Down) and (Up), the switch is automatically marked as active.

TIP

Deleting a record or position is possible with the key combination CTRL + DELETE.
