Overview

In the shelter, animals can be housed for a longer period due to various reasons (puppies, illness, socialization, searching for an owner/adopter, etc.). In these cases, it is often necessary to conduct an additional examination when a change in the animal's well-being, health status, or behavior is noticed. The examination data is recorded in the tab Examination.

In this chapter, we will present an example of entering data about the examination of an animal in the shelter. The functionality is located in the menu  Veterinary | Codes | Owner and Animal Codes, tab  Shelter

TIP

For more detailed information about the program forms, read in the PANTHEON VET Guide, in the chapter Examination.

CASE DESCRIPTION

An injured cat with kittens was admitted to the shelter. After a few days of care, the caregivers noticed that the cat often scratched its ears, so they conducted an additional examination of the animal. The caregiver records the conducted examination of the animal in the PANTHEON VET program with the following steps:

  1. Searching for the animal code
  2. Entering data in the Examination tab

WARNING

The cat was first entered into the shelter upon admission in the Owner and Animal Codes and the data about Arrival

1. Searching for the animal code

The responsible person searches for the cat's code on the list Animal Examination

The image shows the sought result for the cat.

2. Entering data in the Examination tab

The responsible person wants to record data about the cat's examination. This is done by positioning on the cat's code with the number: 2102000003.

  • The responsible person clicks on the tab Shelter and then the sub-tab Examination.

TIP

To create a new row in the table, press the Insert key on the keyboard or the 'down arrow' key.

  • Clicks in the table, where in the new row, in the field Date, enters the date of care performed: 21.5.2021.

  • Continues by entering in the field Qty. In our case, enters: 1.

  • In the field Note enters: Itchy ears - suspected mange..

TIP

The fields Ident and Name are automatically filled based on the settings in the Administrator Console. Read more in the chapter Shelter.

  •  The responsible person wants the labor cost to be considered in billing, so they check the box in the field Billing .

  • The record is saved by changing the position (arrow down and back up on the keyboard).
