Arrival

Functionality Arrival is used in cases when a finder brings an animal to the shelter, where we record the arrival data.

We have prepared an example of entering data about the arrival of animals at the shelter for you. The data is stored on the card Shelter which is located in the menu Veterinary | Codes | Owner and animal codes.

ADVICE

For more detailed information about the program forms, read in the Guide to PANTHEON VET, in the chapter Transfers.

DESCRIPTION OF THE EXAMPLE

The finder Last Name First Name, at the Animal Shelter, brought a cat that had stayed in their house for a few days. Since they could not take care of it, they brought it to the shelter. At the shelter, the cat and the finder were included in the program. The process of registering the arrival was carried out according to the following steps:

  1. Opening the Arrival form
  2. Entering data in General
  3. Entering data in Finder's Information
  4. Entering data in Location
  5. Entering data in Notes
  6. Entering data in Animal Description
  7. Entering data in Visual Changes
  8. Review on the list in the Transfers tab

1. Opening the Arrival form

The responsible person at the shelter will record the arrival data of the animal in the Arrival.

WARNING

A new ID must first be created for the animal. The detailed procedure is described in the chapter Entering Animals (general) or Entering Cats

  • The responsible person clicks on the animal code they created for the found cat on the list Animal Check. In our case, it is: cat Flora.
  • Then they proceed to the tab Shelter, sub-tab Transfers where they click the button Arrival.

  • The Arrival form opens Arrival

2. Entering data in General

The responsible person continues to enter general data about the arrival of the animal at the shelter.

  • In the field Type of Arrival select: Found from the dropdown list.
  • The responsible person enters the date and time of admission to the shelter in the field Date of Arrival : 02.10.2024 8:09:14
  • They continue to enter text in the field Date Found: 02.10.2024.
  • Select a veterinarian from the dropdown list in the field Veterinarian. In our case, it is: Valentin Veterinarian.

3. Entering data in Finder's Information

The responsible person then enters the finder’s information.

  • In the field Full Name in our example enter: Last Name First Name.
  • Continue entering data in the field Address: Address 15C.
  • Enter contact information in the field Phone: 0910001111.
  • The responsible person also enters a comment in the field Notes about the finder: The cat stayed in the area around the house for three days. It was looking for food and is not afraid of people.

4. Entering data in Location

Information about the place where the animal was found is important as it can help locate the owner from whom the animal escaped. Below, the responsible person at the shelter fills in the data about the location of the animal.

  • In the field Address in our example enter: Address 15C.
  • Select from the dropdown list in the field Municipality: City of Zagreb.

5. Entering data in Notes

Along with the location data, the responsible person can add notes.

  • In our case, in the field Notes it says: Most likely escaped (see image above).

6. Entering data in Animal Description

The responsible person describes the phenotype of the animal based on which the owner from whom the cat escaped could identify and find the cat.

  • In the field Animal Description in our example enter: Gray-brown cat, medium-length fur. Sociable, socialized, fearless. Appears well-groomed, without external parasites.

7. Entering data in Visual Changes

In case the animal is visibly injured or its behavior has significantly changed compared to what is expected, the veterinarian at the shelter records the observed data.

  • In our case, enter in the field Visual Changes: No visible changes in health or behavior.
  • Save the entire record by clicking the button Save.

Review on the list in the Transfers tab

When the responsible person saves the data in the form Arrival, it appears on the list of the Transfers tab.
