eBusiness

This chapter introduces you to the options of licensing for the following eBusiness services:

  1. Backup, eDocumentation, and ePosting
  2. eExchange and certified eDocumentation
  3. Combinations of the eDocumentation package for PANTHEON Web users

1. Backup, eDocumentation, and ePosting

The licensing of Backup, eDocumentation and ePosting (which includes eText, Typless, Typless PRO and Accountless) services is linked to the PANTHEON license holder's tax number, regardless of the serial number count and the number of databases used within the company.

A contracted package for eDocumentation, Backup, and ePosting applies to all serial numbers and can be used on all the user's databases.

IMPORTANT

See information on eBusiness services on the Datalab website for eBusiness.

IMPORTANT

ePosting includes packages eText, Typless, Typless PRO and Accountless. The licensing of these 4 services is the same.

1.1 Example for Company Ltd.

Let's take an example of a company, Company Ltd, which is a PANTHEON license holder and has, in addition to the head office, another 2 business units.

It has separate serial numbers and databases for them. The company requires the following:

  • 1 eDocumentation,
  • the backup package, and
  • the ePosting package, which can be used for all 3 databases.

The table below shows the example of licensing for the Backup, eDocumentation and ePosting services for Company Ltd.

1.2. Example for Accounting firm Ltd.

The Accounting Firm Ltd. uses PANTHEON licenses to run its own business and also manages the accounting practice for six other companies.

It has a separate serial number and database for each customer.

In order to be able to use eDocumentation for all its customers, the accounting firm must have eDocumentation activated, which will store documents electronically for all 7 databases. The same applies to Backup and ePosting.

The table below shows the example of licensing for the Backup, eDocumentation and ePosting services for Accounting Firm Ltd.

2. eExchange and certified eDocumentation

Licensing of the eExchange and certified eDocumentation service is linked to the tax number of the database for which you want to use the service.

IMPORTANT
  • The example described below applies to the licensing mode of eExchange and Certified eDocumentation for Slovenia.
  • See information on eBusiness services on the Datalab website for eBusiness.

2.1. Example 1 for Accounting firm Ltd.

Let's take an example of the Accounting Firm Ltd., which is a PANTHEON license holder and uses PANTHEON licenses to run its business. It uses a production and a test database for its own needs and also manages the accounting practice for six other companies.

It has a separate serial number and database for each customer.

In order to use eExchange and Certified eDocumentation for its customers, the firm has to have an eExchange package and a Certified eDocumentation package for each customer separately.

The packages may differ from one other. All customers do not have to have the same package, nor do all customers have to select a package for each service.

The table below shows the example of licensing for the eExchange and Certified eDocumentation services for Example 1 for Accounting Firm Ltd.

Table note: eDoc. = eDocumentation

The accounting firm will need:

  • 1 x eDocumentation
  • 1 x Backup package
  • 1 x ePosting package
  • 2 x eExchange Light package
  • 2 x eExchange Mini package
  • 2 x eExchange Micro package
  • 4 x Certified eDocumentation 1 GB package
  • 1 x Certified eDocumentation 5 GB package

If the Accounting Firm will also use Backup for its customers' databases, it only needs to ensure that the Backup package is of a sufficient size in terms of the number of GB leased to cover the total number of database sizes it wishes to store.

WARNINGS
  • If the accounting firm wants to edit the documentation on its customer's database to which it connects with its own license, then eDocumentation is needed by both the accounting firm and its customer.
  • You can order additional services via this link (for Slovenia).

WARNINGS

eDocumentation is automatically activated for all active PANTHEON users:

  • PANTHEON Cloud users
  • All users that use PANTHEON licenses on their local servers and have a valid and paid Upgrade contract.
