Components

 

The Components tab of the Special Reports form allows you to add different components to the created report.

You can edit components and customize which data is displayed on the report.

Below is a description of tab’s features.

1. Component type

In this section, you can select the type of component on the report and edit its settings. Each selected type has its own settings  that are visible on the form.

Component type can be selected in the Type field. There are six types of components:

1.1. Component

If Component is selected, you can set these additional settings.

Component

Select the component from Components register.

(Preview)

Displays a graphical preview of the component.

1.2. Report

If Report is selected, you can set these additional settings.

Report

Select any ZEUS report that has a created template created.

Explanation

Enter an explanation for the report.

1.3. Text

If you select Text as a ZEUS report component, you can enter any text into box and it will appear on the report.

You can also use calculations directly from database using SQL statements. Calculation will appear on the report if you put SQL statement between two ~S~ signs. For example, if you want to calculate the quantity of a sold item and add it to the report, you can write similar SQL statement as on the screenshot below. It will appear both on the report and on the report preview.

Type

Select the text style (heading 1, heading 2, normal text, etc.)

Enter the text for the report.

1.4. Analysis of planning

Financial analysis with created template can be added to ZEUS report.

Analyses

Select a created template of an analysis of planning.

Show

List of templates that were created using financial analysis.

 

1.5. OLAP analysis

Any OLAP cube can be added to ZEUS report as long as its template has been created. Make sure that cubes are processed in order to see latest data.

Select the created template of an OLAP cube.

Export to excel

If checked, the OLAP analysis is exported to Excel.

Show pivot table

If checked, a pivot table is displayed.

1.6. Ad-Hoc Analysis

Any Ad-Hoc analysis can be added to ZEUS report as long as its template has been created.

Analyses

Select the created template of an Ad-Hoc analysis.

Show

Export to excel

If checked, the Ad-Hoc analysis is exported to Excel.

Show pivot table

If checked, a pivot table is displayed.

2. Settings

In this section, you can edit the data displayed on the report. Section is not visible if an OLAP Analysis or Ad-Hoc Analysis is selected in the Type field. Most changes are visible only after the Re-Create button has been clicked. 

Name

If checked, the name is displayed on the report.

Description

If checked, the description is displayed on the report.

Show Report Header

If checked, the report header is displayed on the report.

Checkbox is visible only if Type selected is Report.

Use

If checked, the component is visible on the report. If unchecked, the component is not visible.

As Text

If checked, dashboard component type Table will be transformed into text and will not be shown as an image.

Checkbox is visible only if table is a part of the report.

Save

If you click the button, changes are saved.

3. Buttons

This section contains buttons for adding, editing, reseting or previewing the report.

Add

By clicking the button, you can add a new component to report.

Advanced

By clicking the button, you can open the Report editor form, where you can edit the structure of the report.

Re-Create

By clicking the button, all changes to the report made with Report editor will be discarded.

Preview

By clicking the button, you can generate a preview of the report in the Report Window.
