Tabs

The Tabs section of the Documents tab in the Mailroom form allows you to review data of the documents displayed in the Documents table.

Warning
Tabs in Mailroom | Documents look similar to tabs in Documents form, but are only intended for review of document's data, not for editing. To edit the document's data use the Documents form.

Below is a description of the tabs.
The Links tab of the Documents tab displays information on the documents linked to the selected document. Only existing document links are shown. Linked documents can be opened simply by double-clicking the key of the linked document.
| Link View |
Displays the key, i.e. the number of the linked document in its original format, e.g. 23-1200-000001.
The key consists of the year, document type ID and the consecutive number of the document

Hint
Linked documents can be opened simply by double-clicking the Link View.

| Link Description |
Displays a description of the link. |
| Subject |
Shows the subject from the linked document, from Subjects register. |
| Subject Name |
Shows the long name (name 2) of the subject as defined in the Subjects register. |
| Link |
Shows the key, i.e. the number of the linked document without spaces and hyphens.
The key consists of the year, document type ID and the consecutive number of the document e.g. 2312000000000001.

The Metadata tab of the Documents tab displays the metadata of the selected document, defined or set for each document classification separately.

Hint
The metadata for each classification is set on the Classification Scheme form, where you can select any classification and set the visible metadata in the Metadata tab.

In the Files tab of the Documents tab, all files belonging to the selected document are displayed. Document versions can also be checked here.
| History |
By clicking this button, a Files History form is opened, where you can review the changes made to the document's files.
History tracking or versioning can be set up in Classification scheme in General Information section.

| File Name |
The name of the linked file is written in the field. When viewing password protected .PDF, a form is opened where you enter password for encrypted file:

The tab Chat Log in the Documents tab displays information about who, when and which task was performed in connection with the document and which workflow (e.g. validation) controls the tasks.

The tab Subject Documents in the Documents tab displays information about all other linked documents for currently selected Subject.
