1) Inventory Accounts – Issue Type "Document"

For automatic posting of issued invoices, the following accounts are used.

Item Type The item type for which the account settings should apply. The item type is set in the Items register | General | Accounts.
DR/CRThe posting side. Blank by default, which means credit.
If Debit is selected, automatic posting will post to the same account to the same side, but with a negative amount. See Inventory excess for an example.
Sales Revenue CRThe account for recording credit-side revenue in automatic posting of issued invoices.
Cost of Goods - ConsignmentThe account for recording the cost of consignment goods in automatic posting of issued invoices.
Cost of Goods Sold DR The account for recording debit-side cost of goods sold in automatic posting of material consumption.
Inventory Account CRThe account for recording credit-side inventory of sold goods in automatic posting of material consumption.
Included Gr. Margin DR The account for recording included gross margin when posting inventory at retail price in automatic posting of material consumption
Included VAT DRThe account for recording VAT that is included in the sale price (when posting inventory at retail price). See also Automatic posting of material consumption.

2) Inventory Accounts – Issue Type "Internal"

 

Only material consumption is recorded when automatically posting internal issues, therefore less accounts need to be set up.

Item Type The item type for which the account settings should apply. The item type is set in theItems register | General | Accounts.
DR/CR(not required)
Sales Revenue CR(not required)
Cost of Goods - Consignment(not required)
Cost of Goods Sold DR The account for debit-side posting of consumption.
Inventory Account CR The account for credit-side posting of consumption.
Included Gr. Margin DR The account for recording included gross margin when posting inventory at retail price in automatic posting material consumption.
Included VAT DRThe account for recording VAT included in the sale price when posting inventory at retail price in automatic posting of material consumption.
