Example of a Salary Statement for a Part-Time Worker

Part-time employment is defined by the Article 65 of the Employment Relationships Act as any type of employment, where the weekly any type of employment, where the weekly amount of working hours is lower than 40. The amount of compensation for meals and transport is the same as the one for full-time employees. These compensations depend on the number of working days, not working hours.

This chapter presents a case of salary calculation for a part-time employee in the Tecta company in PANTHEON.

CASE SUMMARY
Heather Human, the person responsible in theTecta company wants to create a Salary Calculation for the Bar department head, Carla Cafe, for the period 2022-04. Carla is employed under a collective agreement for indefinite part-time work and works 30 hours a week.
The preparation is done as follows:

- Payroll Preparation
- Salary Calculation
- Printing a Pay Slip

|
1.1. Employment Relationship
Next, the person responsible goes to the Salary Parameters panel.

In the Employment Relationship field, the option selected must be Part-Time.
Double-clicking the field opens the Employment Relationships Register.

The length of service is calculated using the following formula: calendar days of employment of the insured person (length of insurance) times weekly work hours of the insured person (data from the position), the product is then divided by the weekly working time of the contributory (data entered in Program Parameters), and the result divided by 30. This is how the program gets the length of service in months and days.
When the Part-Time option is selected, the Weekly Requirement field opens. The person responsible can enter the weekly working hours of the employee manually.
 |
HINT
The Weekly Requirement can be tracked on the employee or position level. According to the weekly requirement, daily presence hours are calculated, and therefore hours that are entered into the Calendar when creating absences.
|
Hours for part-time employees are first read from this field. If the field is empty, the working hours will be read from the Position.
Data about weekly requirements are important for calculating the part-time length of service and double employment.
When calculating, the program compares the data from the Administration Panel, from the Working Hours per Week field. In this case, the part-time data of the employee will be compared with the number of working hours on the company level, 40 hours.

The employee's salary is calculated according to a collective agreement. The person responsible marks this by checking the Collective Agr. checkbox in Salary Parameters. This data is also used for controlling the earnings types entered in the Payroll Preparation.
