Users and Groups

The Users and Groups panel combines two subpanels: Users and Groups, where you can create, edit and group users, set authorizations and work on different databases.

The panel can be accessed from the Administration panel.

The form is made up of certain panels, which are described below.

  • Users  – The user of the program is the person who logs in into the program and defines authorizations and other personal settings. This tab allows you to define individual settings for each created user.
  • Groups   Individual users can be grouped into a group that has similar properties or authorizations. Within the group, authorizations can be assigned to all users at the same time. This tab allows you define settings for each group.

WARNING
  1. By default, a newly created user is not a member of a any user group.
  2. A user may be a member of multiple user groups at once. In this case, the user inherits the highest/top permissions of the user group.
  3. Permissions that are explicitly set for a user are not inherited from the user group.
  4. User permissions take precedence over the permissions of the user group. For example, Usergroup_1 has Read permissions on Items registers and Usergroup_2 has Write permissions on Items register. The user that is assigned to both user groups will inherit the Write permission, which is higher.
