By using the range of measures you can choose by which measures you want to run the analysis. There are various measures available with specific cubes.

000001.gif You have to choose measures wisely since not all measures prove useful across all levels of specific dimensions.

Example:

If you monitor the Quantity measure (in the unit of measurement) on the level of all items, there exists a chance that you are monitoring totals for incompatible data ("to compare apples and pears").
