Description of materials and goods movements at Tecta

Tecta has an extensive process of material and goods movements, during which several interconnected activities are running. To avoid errors and work stoppages, they have clearly defined business events at each warehouse. Here you will find the descriptions of business events by warehouse. To facilitate understanding of the Tecta's overall material and goods movements, the process is graphically displayed in the image below.

1. Materials Warehouse
The material and goods movements at Tecta are precisely defined. The warehouses are interconnected and traceability is ensured by input and output documents generated to record business events. Below are the descriptions of the events that take place in each warehouse and the documents that are generated in PANTHEON as the events occur.
At Tecta, the materials needed to make products at the Manufacturing Department are received at the Materials Warehouse. First, an order document is issued to the supplier. Based on the order, the supplier delivers the material to the warehouse together with the packing slip. The person responsible at the warehouse receives the material delivered and enters the packing slip into PANTHEON. The supplier then sends an invoice, which is entered into PANTHEON and linked to the packing slip by the Tecta Accounting Department. Using a transfer slip, the material can also be received from another warehouse, the Warehouse Wholesale.
The materials from the Materials Warehouse are issued using the work orders in the process of manufacturing new products or repairing items received at the Servicing Department, and by credit notes.

2. Finished Products Warehouse
In the manufacturing workflow, the materials are used to manufacture finished products, which are stored at the Tecta Finished products warehouse. This is also where repaired items from manufacturing are stored for repair. During the inter-warehouse transfer, the person responsible transfers the items from the Warehouse Wholesale and increases the stock in the Finished Products Warehouse.
The products are sold to retail and wholesale customers, so they are transferred to the Warehouse Retail and Warehouse Wholesale using a transfer document.
When a defect is detected in a product, it is returned from the warehouses to the manufacturing process. For this purpose, documents for an inter-warehouse transfer are created in PANTHEON.

6. Warehouse Wholesale
The Tecta Warehouse Wholesale is the central warehouse from where large consignments are issued to wholesale customers. The Warehouse Wholesale is filled with goods, materials and finished products items. Based on the order received, suppliers deliver goods and materials to the Warehouse Wholesale together with the packing slip. The person responsible at the Tecta warehouse receives the consignment and enters the packing slip into PANTHEON. Later, the suppliers also send an invoice, which is entered into the program and linked to the packing slip. The person responsible transfers the products from the Finished products Warehouse to the Warehouse Wholesale using an inter-warehouse transfer document. Consignments returned by customers are also returned to the Warehouse Wholesale.
