Import Journal Entry from Excel File

This function is used for importing entries from an Excel file according to a predefined structure.
It can be accessed by clicking the
(Import/Export Data) button.

Register Overview |
PANTHEON checks if the prepared data matches the existing registers in the program. |
Fill In Missing Registers on Transfer |
If checked, enables you to add the missing entries in registers (subjects, chart of accounts, cost centers) upon transfer.

Convert to foreign currency from local currency |
Converts to the currency entered in the Excel file based on the entered exchange rate and currency. |
Convert to local currency from foreign currency |
Converts to the local currency from foreign currency entered in the Excel file based on the entered exchange rate and currency. |
Import only data without errors |
If checked, the program will only import data with no errors to the journal.
If not checked and if data with errors exists, program will not perform the import (regardless of whether the data contains errors or not) and will display the following information window:

If amounts in colum Debit and/or Credit consist of more than two decimal places, following IRIS appears:

Excel file should contain following columns in the following order:
- Journal entry number (if you want to import data into a specific journal entry)
- Period date for journal entry (if you want to import data into a specific journal entry)
- Account
- Subject
- Debit
- Credit
- Document
- Linked Document
- Document Date
- Value Date (Due Date)
- Currency
- Exchange Rate
- Department
- Cost Center
- Note
- Contra Account
- VAT Date
- External Document
- Status (cannot be automatically populated upon transfer)
- Status name
- Value Debit (by default, the currency values are populated according to the exchange rate if there is no value entered here)
- Value Credit (by default, the currency values are populated according to the exchange rate if there is no value entered here)

WARNING
To import data to the currently open journal entry, you need to specify the Journal entry number and Period date for journal entry of the given journal entry in the Excel file before import.
