The wizard will install a PANTHEON client on your work station.

IMPORTANT

Table of contents

  1. Downloading the installation package
  2. Setup Wizard
  3. Program login

1. Downloading the installation package

The person responsible downloads the PANTHEON installation package onto their work station from the http://ftp.datalab.si/demo/ web page, according to the instructions above. The person responsible opens the folder where the file was downloaded to – usually somewhere in Downloads. The person responsible selects the downloaded file Install PA_SQL_SI_XXXXXX.exe by right-clicking on it and selecting Run as administrator.

WARNING

PANTHEON is always installed by the user with the adequate permissions for installing the program on our work station.

1.1. User Account Control

The person responsible confirms User Account Control by clicking Yes.

1.2. InstallAware Wizard

The person responsible waits for the setup wizard to be installed. Once the wizard is installed, the person responsible follows the instructions of the setup wizard.

2. Setup wizard

2.1. Welcome to DATALAB Pantheon 10 setup

In the first step, the wizard only greets the user, so the person responsible clicks Next.

2.2. License agreement

In the second installation step, the person responsible accepts the license agreement, if they agree with it. The person responsible checks the I accept the license agreement checkbox and clicks Next.

2.3. Server and database name

In the third step, the person responsible has to ENTER THE NECESSARY INFORMATION.

The setup wizard will ask the user to enter the name of the server they want to connect to, the instance name and the database name. The person responsible enters the database and port names (1443) into the Server name field. The Instance name field can be left empty, but the person responsible must enter the database name into the field Databse. Then the person responsible clicks Next.

2.4. Selecting a folder for the program installation

Then the program automatically selects the default folder for the program installation – C:\DataLab, which can be changed at will. Then the person responsible clicks Next.

2.5. Naming the application and creating a shortcut

Then, the person responsible enters the desired application name (for example: PANTHEON) and selects if they want to create a shortcut to the application for all users or just for themselves. Once the person responsible chooses, they click Next.

2.6. Preparing installation

In the next step, the wizard notifies the user that installation is ready to start and the person responsible clicks Next, and then waits a moment for the wizard to test the internet connection.

2.7. Installation

The person responsible waits for the wizard to install all the necessary applications.

2.8. Finalizing installation

At the end, the wizard notifies the user that the installation was successful. If the person responsible wants to run PANTHEON right away, they leave the check mark next to Run DataLab PANTHEON now. Then, the person responsible clicks Finish.

3. Program login

If the person responsible left the checkbox to run PANTHEON after installation in the last installation step checked, the PANTHEON login window will open. The person responsible enters the user – AD into the login window, but leaves the password field empty and checks the database login by clicking the Logon button.

If the person responsible wants to set the password, the person responsible clicks the key – on the right side of the password field.
