Adding a Scheduled Task in Windows 95

Task scheduling in Windows 95 requires either the Windows 95 Plus Pack or Internet Explorer 4.01 for Windows 95.

The following describes how to add Scheduled Tasks to a system with Internet Explorer 4.0.

In the Control Panel, open Add/Remove Programs. Find Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 and click the Add/Remove button.

The Internet Explorer 4.0 Active Setup dialog opens. Select Add a component to Internet Explorer and click OK.

Select a site that is near you to improve download speed. Click Install Now.

The selected components will be downloaded.

After download is complete, restart your computer.

Scheduled Tasks can now be found in Explorer, under My Computer.

From here on, adding a scheduled task is the same as with Windows 98.
