Using this function you can check for possible errors in database (e.g. account put in use in Document Types register does not exist in the Chart of Accounts). Run check for individual across the entire database.

Furthermore, the checl can be restricted by the following criteria:

Master
Selecting the name of the main table (e.g. invoice header) from the selection table. If you leave the field empty, the check is run across all tables in database.
Detail
Selecting the name of the linked table (e.g. lines in invoice) from the selection table.
Status
In this box you can observe the progress indicator and displayed names of tables for which the check is run.
44935.gifShow Empty Strings
If checked, the records containing emty strings are displayed.
(window for displaying results)
Displays results of referential integrity check.
Check
By clicking you run a check of referential integrity.
Auto-Fix By clicking it reestablished referential integrity.
CancelIt is visible after running check (see the above fields).

Referential integrity check run on large databases can take long. So you can cancel the operation by clicking the Cancel button. You have to confirm or reject the operation (see Do you really want to cancel the operation?).

Types of report:

1. "SM" in table POSLDOG does not exist in master table ODDEL

Teh error of this type telss you that the value in inverted commas ("SM") contained in the string (POSLDOG) of the table (POSLDOG) does not exist in register or parent table (ODDEL). This disrupts the referential integrity of the database you use. In such a case it is recommended that you call your support provider.

2. Error in Master=ODDEL-USERID, Detail=POSLDOGPROMET-DATUMSPRE, Error: "[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]The conversion of a char data type to a datetime data type resulted in an out-of-range datetime value."

Error returned by the SQL server. With errors of this type contact your support provider.

The function is designated mainly for running referential integrity check in case of errors in database (after first consulting your support provider). Results are later sent via e-mail or in any other way to the support provider.

How does this get done?

Mark all records in the window for displaying results. Select the text you want to copy and use the function for copying (44816.gif 44817.gif). Then ope n a new e-mail message or word processor (attach it to your e-mail message) and select the paste function (44818.gif 44819.gif).
