Records of all incoming stock including
GLOBALG.A.P. status shall be present.
System to ensure all non- GLOBALG.A.P. approved stock are held on farm for more than 28 (Sheep) / 60 (Cattle) days. For beef cattle, a 60-day transition period and for sheep a 28-day transition period is applicable for bought in stock before it becomes GLOBALG.A.P. approved stock.
For dairy, given that the annual
replacement rate is higher than 20%, a 28- day transition period is required.
The transition period shall be finalized
before stock is sent for slaughter. Brought in cattle shall prove by documentation that health status and withdrawal times are in compliance with GLOBALG.A.P. requirements. Cross-reference with LB 3.2. No N/A. |

Visual assessment of lambing areas and shelter. Farmer shall describe lambing provisions (i.e. bales, shelters, etc.). Suitability of breed shall be considered.
Where this is impracticable, only sheep
breeds that are well-adapted to survive in the relevant terrain shall be allowed to remain. Ewes less well adapted to the terrain shall be removed to more
favorable areas. |

Slaughterhouse feedback on stock
cleanliness, if available, shall be kept. An
action plan shall be put in place if
excessive soiling is found (i.e. structural
items or the cleaning of livestock prior to
dispatch). |

CS 6.3 |
Farmer shall describe inspection routine
and assess adequacy of different
situations. Stock shall be inspected
regularly at a frequency appropriate to the
class of stock. As a guide, twice daily if
stock are housed and once daily if
outside, except where circumstances
(e.g. the nature of the terrain) do not allow
it. In such cases at least once weekly,
except for exceptionally extensive outdoor
conditions. |

CS 6.4 |
Suitability of breed, condition of stock,
local weather conditions and available
shelter shall be considered. If stock are
poorly adapted to the terrain, they shall
be moved to more favorable areas to
safeguard their welfare, or provided with
additional shelter in the absence of

hedges and trees) to protect them from
inclement weather. |
