Adding and Deleting Users

You can assign user status to any subject that you entered in Subjects register!

  When you:

  • select the New User Group option from right-click menu in Administration Panel tree view and then click the icon for adding new users 44513.jpg, or
  • place the pointer to the name of the individual group in Administration Panel tree view and then click the icon for addind new users 44514.jpg, or
  • move to the name of the existing user in tree view

opens a panel for viewing and entering users.

Define user by entering:

User any two-character alphanumerical user ID.

The user name "SA" is reserved for the program so that adding a user with this ID is not allowed. An error is returned when trying to save a user with this ID (see No user can have the ID "SA"!).

Before saving the ID, it is checked whether any user with the same ID already exists. The following error is returned if so (see User with this code already exists!). 

You cannot leave the field empty. So you cannot save the user without the ID given (see ID must be specified! Changes not specified!).

Subject Select the subject (it is usually an employee but it may also be a customer, ...) from Subjects register, to which you want to assign user status.

Department Select department of the user.Use this daa in accordance with any other appropriate settings when creating documents, such as for example invoices issued
EFT Signatory The name of the signatory of payment orders. Enter the field only when using electronic funds transfer and when the user is at the same moment signed the electronically submitted payment orders.
  • Old Password - Here users can set the password themselves. You are NOT OBLIGED to enter the old password, as is the case in the menu for setting up the current user. Except when trying to change their own password. Only those users having suSeveda pa lahko geslo spreminja le za to Only thos users having sufficient authorizations can change the password! The following error is returned in case of incorrectly entered old password (see Incorrect old password!).
  • New Password - Enter password for accessing SQL server. It is hidden and displayed with asterisk signs. Set the minimum password length in program parameters.
  • Confirm Password - For control sake you are required to reenter the password. If this entry fails (it is different from the password above), the following error is returned (see New password and new password confirmation are not identical!). Repeat the procedure.

 

44516.gif The department under which the user can be found is used as the default department when creating orders and documents of issue, receiving, transfer, etc,, in Goods module.

In addition, the followin functions can be found in taskbar:

Before saving the ID, it verifies whether the user having the same ID already exists or not. The following error is returned if so (see A user with this code already exists!). 

Normally the user is entered in the currently selected database. That is why an option is available before continuing which enables you to add the user across all server databases (see Do you want to copy the user to other databases?). You can copy the user to other server databases subsequently after you saved it. You do this by using the function available in the right-click menu.

  Delete and Deactivate Users

User can be deleted simply by clicking them on the left side of Administration Panel menu 44620.gif and moving on it with the pointer and then select from the right-click menu the Delete User command.

 

And you deactivate them by unchecking the 44621.gifActive box in the right user panel in Administration Panel. In this way you can at any time activate them at will.

 

44523.gif By deleting the user you all the settings are deleted also! You are warned about this by the following message: Do you really want to delete user?.
44524.gif Users can be deleted only from the currently selected database or from all databases on the server. You can do this by confirming the message Do you reall want to delete the user from all databases.
44525.gif You cannot delete the user currently logged in the program because of access protection (see You cannot delete yourself!).
