The use of this register is optional. With the functional state code you may additionaly determine the current status, which is not related to the accounting status of the fixed asset. So the fixed asset amy for example be in use, damaged, or being repaired, and so on.

Type
any eight-character alphanumeric code of status designated for fixed assets
Name
functional state name of the fixed asset
Active we select whether the individual functional state is active or not. The data is not used in the fixed assets register. It is however used in the Manufacturing module.

Differently than the fixed asset status the functional state of the fixed asset does not influence the accounting data (see Fixed assets status).
