Item

Enter or select an ID of specification. That is, of the item for which you want to create specification. To make updating and viewing data easier and quicker, enter or select an item (product and semi-finished product or item type: P, C, U). Here are included only items with specifications.

To select an item (product and semi-finished product or item type: P, C, U), click the icon besides the Item field. Items are here sorted and displayed according to set criteria (fields).
 
007708.gif Clicking the 006408.gif icon opens a list of all alternates included in specification. Select individual specification alternate or display all alternates.

Lines of specification whose alternates do not match filter criteria cannot be updated. They are marked with 13374.gif in tree-structured data. You can keep data up-to-date in sublevels if a component's alternate is same as the one set in filter.

Templates

Opens a menu for setting-up templates.

  • Use the Rearrange Lines command tp rearrange and sort lines of materials and operations.

  • Use the Delete Specification command to delete all lines of specification. This way you delete specification linked to alternate.

  • Use the Copy Spec command to create new specifications, or better put, to transfer lines from one specification to another.

  • Use the Change Components and Resources command to change components and resources across a group of specifications.

  • Use the Cost Estimation command to create a cost estimation on the basis of standard specification data.

  • Use the Manufacture Time command to calculate time required to complete production. 

Reports

Click it to open the report menu:

After selecting it, a window is opened for generating specification reports or tool reports.

If you are located in the Operations panel, or more precisely, in the Manufacture Time subpanel, then the Show Manufacture Time report is made available.
