Select an Alternate tab to open a panel displaying alternates and selected type of scheduling.

46551.jpg

Here you can find the following data:

Alt.
Displays an ID of specification's alternate. You can change it at will.
Name of Alternate
Displays a name of specification's alternate (you can enter it, if required).
Active
If checked, it displays that the alternate has been activated for use in planning and production. The latter can be set in the active alternate field in specification header.
Status ID Enter or select a status of alternate. You can set statuses in Specification Statuses.
Quantity/Day
Enter quantity of standard daily output in production. Usually it is set according to the current work operation. Of course, the normal daily amount of work has to be taken into account. It is used for a more simplified scheduling of material requirements. That is, not like in technological procedures.
It is used only in case By Daily Quantities is set in the Scheduling Method box in Administration Panel | Program Parameters | Manufacturing | Scheduling.
UM
Displays a unit of measurement used with daily quantity. It is equivalent to U/M set in the Items register.
Duration
Enter duration for how long does it take to produce a product quantity when scheduled by daily quantities. It is possible to do this due to varying availability of resources (e.g. working in different shifts).
It is used only in case By Daily Quantities is set in the Scheduling Method box in Administration Panel | Program Parameters | Manufacturing | Scheduling.
Below are examples of calculated schedules using the setting By Daily Quantites:
Quantity/Day Duration Product Quantity Time Required
1,000 units 8 hrs 500 units 4 hrs
800 units 16 hrs 600 units 12 hrs
Duration U/M
Enter or select a temporal U/M used in daily production.
Scheduling Method
Select a method used for scheduling. It can be determined in Scheduling Method in Administration Panel | Program Parameters | Manufacturing | Scheduling.
  • No Scheduling - By using this option there is no scheduling of production.
  • By Lead Times - Use it to consider set lead times in scheduling.
  • By Daily Quantities - Use it to consider set duration in production of daily quantities in scheduling.
  • By Technological Procedures- Use it to consider standard production time in operations of technological procedures in scheduling.
  • By Formula for Technological Procedures - Use it to calculate production time according to a special formula as defined in Scheduling in Program Parameters.
Lead Time
Enter lead time representing time required for production of the assembly. Usually it is set according to the current work operation. Of course, the normal daily amount of work has to be taken into account. It is used for most simplified scheduling of material requirements. That is, simpler than scheduling by daily quantities or technological procedures.
It is only used in case By Lead Times is set in the Scheduling Method box in Administration Panel | Program Parameters | Manufacturing | Scheduling.
Below are examples of calculated schedules using the By Lead Times setting:
Lead Time Product Quantity Time Required
1 day 500 units 1 day
1 day 600 units 1 day
Lead Time U/M
Enter or select a temporal U/M for lead time.
Work Op.
If checked, the selected work operations are included in specification.
Fictional Op.
If checked, the selected fictional operations are included in specification.
Ctrl. Op.
If checked, the selected control operations are included in specification.
External Op.
If checked, the selected external operations are included in specification.

Work Process Enter or select a work process used in production.

Transfer S/N (transfer of serial numbers) If checked, serial numbers included with alternate are transferred to topmost level. The column is displayed only if serial number tracking is checked for item in specification.
